Mark Chipperfield

Mark trained as a journalist with The West Australian newspaper in Perth and later worked for both The Australian and The Sydney Morning Herald before moving to London where he wrote news scripts for LBC radio.

For the past 20 years he has been a full-time travel writer, freelance editor and copywriter. Mark is a keen blogger, writing about craft beer and parenthood.

Mark first arrived in Sydney 30 years ago on the off chance of getting a job in journalism. As a news reporter he first covered some the city’s seedier stories, but later wrote extensively about its food, nightlife and cultural scene.

Although a long-time resident Mark says he is still mesmerized by Sydney’s physical beauty and inspired by the New World optimism of its residents.
