Jeremy’s books on Turkey include A Fez of the Heart (1995), Meander (2012) and A Coup in Turkey (2021). He has also written on the country for numerous publications including Conde Nast Traveller, the Telegraph and Sunday Times. He edits a specialist website on travel in Turkey called www.somewherewonderful.com.
Background
Jeremy’s interest in Turkey began with a spell teaching English there in 1984. He instantly fell for the country – its extraordinary abundance of amazing archaeological sites, its giddyingly rich history, its superb food and epic landscapes.
He has now visited countless times as writer and travel guide. He knows the country as well as anybody and in recent years has also been leading cultural tours there.
