Expert travel writer:
Fionn Davenport
About
Fionn started his career as an editor with Fodor’s Travel Guides in New York before turning to writing full-time in the mid-1990s. He has since authored guidebooks for Lonely Planet – most notably every edition of the Dublin guides and multiple editions of the Ireland and Great Britain guides.
He’s a keen golfer, and is the co-host of the highly respected Golf Weekly, one of the best-known golf podcasts.
Background
Fionn started travel writing because it was the only feasible way to fund his wanderlust. Luckily, he has married travel to his other passion of playing golf, and over the last couple of decades, he’s managed to play some of the world’s best courses.
On the bucket list
To play Pine Valley and Augusta National; to visit the Antarctic; to visit Japan during cherry blossom season.
