As a freelance writer, Chris has written and photographed for Conde Nast Traveller, The Telegraph, The Guardian, Architectural Digest, Wallpaper, Bloomberg and CNN Travel.

Fresh out of university in Amsterdam, Chris embarked on an almost year-long trip from Colombo to Shanghai and everywhere in between. But it was Thailand he lost his heart to, and he has since made the ‘land of smiles’ his home. With an apartment in the heart of Bangkok as a base, he loves exploring the country’s creative scene, southern beaches and jungles up north.

You’ll also find him wandering around Taiwan multiple times a year, where he combines visits to his in-laws with writing and photography assignments for travel publications around the globe.

To cross Taiwan from north to south on a moped, to visit Bhutan, and to retire in a whitewashed, bougainvillaea-covered villa on Lamu island in Kenya.
