This landmark ski-in, ski-out hotel is at the heart of the Mont Tremblant action, with the pedestrian village on one side, and a high-speed chairlift on the other. The pool complex is fantastic: indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, and mountain views aplenty.
For parents who can prise their kids away from the water action, there is marshmallow toasting on the outdoor fire pits every evening after 4pm. Evenings are spread across several dining and take-out options, but the breakfast buffet at Le Comptoir – with its legendary maple syrup crepes – is a must-do.
About the resort
Located in the French-speaking Canadian province of Quebec, it’s no surprise that Mont Tremblant has a distinctly European feel to it. At its base is a pretty traffic-free village of cobblestone streets lined with chic cafés and patisseries.
Its easy access – Montreal is just 90 minutes away – makes it popular with families, as does the fact that the entire mountain is accessible by green runs. Intermediates will find great cruising runs on both the North and South sides, and there are plenty of challenges for advanced/expert skiers, including some tough tree runs.
